Massive Moth

Will 2012 be the break-out year for Salem musicians? Recent tours of Salem bands around the NW point to increased visibility for the Cherry City and this year’s festival aspires to build on the hard work of everyone in the industry by showcasing the diversity of mid-valley musicians. Once again, we’re partnering with CCTV to offer studio time for bands in addition to performance venues throughout downtown. Looking forward to another great event!

Father/son duo Axolotl Daydream rocked the bulb-out during the August Doug’s World LIVE. We broadcast them into the welcoming homes of CCTV viewers using an iphone, Facetime, Starbuck’s wifi and the competent crew at CCTV. Infinity and beyond! Catch the live re-broadcast nightly on CCTV at 11:30 p.

Here’s a quick cut of the Great Idea event with Dandy Warhols in Western town, Calvin Johnson and the Hive Dwellers under the roller coaster, Jared Mees and the Grown Children in the belly of the Jolly Roger, Hello Electric and plenty of interviews.

A couple of whippersnappers dropped by Dougs World for the show tonight. They put on some goofy costumes and we all had a blast. Also, an interview with visual artist Adrian Castillo and an awesome Massive Moth video from the Farris Bros.

Show airs tonight at 630, Fri, Mon T 9  and Sat at 1130 on comcast ch 22.

THOG had a great show at FlipSide during Cherry City, then descended on the set of Doug’s World for an unforgettable shoot that kept the camera operators (and my kids!) thoroughly entertained. Hope they can make it out in public again soon.
